Water World 2026
I am thrilled to announce that my piece, Reaper Reagan, has been accepted into the Water World 2026 international juried exhibition. This exhibition focuses on water as the essence of life, and Reaper Reagan fits this theme by personifying the ocean itself as a sentient, complex force.
The character of Reagan is an eternal, God-like being who arrived on Earth via an asteroid billions of years ago. As the architect of creatures like sirens and the Kraken, she has historically served as the ocean's 'reaper,' enacting the sea's vengeance upon those who mistreat its waters. However, the piece also explores a more contemporary, human side of her: Reagan now lives in disguise within major seaside cities like LA and Tokyo, indulging in human society.
The core of the work lies in the conflict between her personal desires and her divine duties. By choosing human pleasures over maritime protection, Reagan is forced to witness the environmental crimes committed against her home—crimes she must eventually grapple with. Being part of Water World 2026 allows this story of environmental stewardship and mythological duty to reach a global audience.
