The Art of Seeing - Feature Article
Seeing my name in the table of contents and turning to page 38 to read an article about my artistic journey is a milestone that I will remember for a long time. I am incredibly honored to share that I have been featured in the August 2026 issue of Lake Minnetonka Lifestyle Magazine.
Over the past several years, I have been steadily building my practice through countless hours in the studio, experimenting with new materials, and searching for ways to communicate ideas through painting, sculpture, and mixed media. This summer has been especially transformative. Attending RISD Pre-College challenged me to think more critically about my work while giving me the confidence to continue developing my own artistic voice. At the same time, I have been creating new sculptures, exhibiting work locally and internationally, and preparing for the next stage of my education.
What makes this feature particularly meaningful is that it is rooted in my local community. While many of my recent opportunities have connected me with audiences around the world, it is incredibly rewarding to share my work with the place that I call home. Lake Minnetonka Lifestyle celebrates the people, businesses, and stories that make this community unique, and I am grateful to be included among them.
The article reflects not only where I am today, but also the years of learning that made this moment possible. From early sketchbooks and AP Art to national juried exhibitions, public installations, and immersive summer programs, each experience has encouraged me to push beyond what I thought I could create. Every new project has been an opportunity to ask better questions, learn new techniques, and discover unexpected ways to connect art with science, architecture, and the natural world.
I am deeply thankful to the editors and team at Lake Minnetonka Lifestyle Magazine for taking the time to tell my story. Thank you as well to everyone who has followed my work, attended exhibitions, visited my website, or simply encouraged me to keep creating. Your support has made opportunities like this possible.
As I look ahead, I am excited to continue building new bodies of work, exploring new materials, and sharing that journey with all of you. This feature is not a finish line, but another step in what I hope will be a lifelong commitment to creating meaningful art.
