My Contour Outline Sculpture:
I chose to make this sculpture of my two dogs: Evie and Rose. I also decided to make this sculpture for my mom, whom the dogs love most. Working with wire was definitely more of a challenge than any other medium I have used. The wire often did not want to stay down. To combat this, I used some masking tape to hold down the parts I had finished. I ended up using around twice as much wire as I expected; one thing I would do differently next time would plan out how much wire and the path of my wire more efficiently. I feel like even though this sculpture was more of a challenge at times, it went pretty well. I feel like one thing that went well was that I was really able to capture the liveliness in the dogs' expressions and really capture what they are like in real life.
