The Process

This piece was created when I was seven, while studying Edgar Degas’ ballet dancers. Even at that age, I was drawn to the challenge of showing motion in a still image. I experimented with soft charcoal shading and dynamic lines to suggest rhythm and elegance. While it reflects the influence of Degas, it also marks an early step in my own artistic journey—learning how to see not just the figure, but the feeling of dance.
