The Process

I wanted to capture the feeling of walking through the woods at night, when most of the landscape disappears into darkness and a single light changes what you can see. The hardest part was creating the depth of the night without losing the trees and plants within it. I built the darkness through layers of deep blues, greens, and blacks, allowing details to appear gradually around the lamplight. At the very end, I added tiny specks of snow across the surface. They are easy to miss, but they helped capture the stillness and atmosphere I remembered.
