Material Stories

Charcoal on paper

I researched Johnsonite rubber tread. I learned information about the material's color, size, texture, purpose, and properties. After this, I also made a graphite sketch of rubber tread to understand and capture its fine details. Additionally, I discovered where and how the rubber was manufactured and distributed and where rubber comes from itself and captured all of this information in a concise graphic. After this, we had critiques and I made adjustments to my graphic to make it more clearly organized for ease of understanding.
