The Legend of Bryant Lake

1825

There once was a greedy explorer, named Bryant Lake. Bryant was always wanting more, more land, more money, and more things. One day he found a glorious lake in Minnesota whilst exploring. He decided to claim this lake for his own, but this didn't satisfy Bryant, he needed more. In a quest to find more he took trusty, Marge the Barge TM out alone into the vast unknown.

Marge was designed for 8 rowers, so it took him months before he found anything because of how slow he was moving. He was surprised when Marge seemed to hit something hard behind her, grinding the barge to a halt. LAND! He couldn't believe he had finally found an island! It was a small triangular one. He quickly anchored Marge onto land, then hopped out. When he got on land he immediately decided to go out and explore the island top to bottom.

Bryant was exploring the waters around the island when he discovered an underwater cave. It had a weird, mystical green glow coming from something in there. He held his breath and swam closer to it to find a magical gauntlet on a large rock in the middle of the cave. The cave had a pocket of air at the top so he went up to get some air, then he went back down to try to pick it up, it was heavy but he still could lift it. Just as he lifted it he heard a beast in the distance growl. The beast peeked its head out from around the corner to reveal a hideous sea monster, it had 4 crow heads, and the body of an elongated crow, the monster was also almost the size of a bus. Bryant gasped, air bubbles escaping to the surface. Before he could think the monster grabbed his leg with one of its many heads. Blood was everywhere as the water turned red, Bryant didn't know what to do and in a last ditch effort destroyed the gauntlet. The island crumbled, as the gauntlet the creature was protecting had been destroyed. Bryant got crushed in the rubble, but the monster lived on.

Present Day

After Bryant died, the nearby people that lived by the lake named it after him for his "brave sacrifice" but Bryant wasn't satisfied, he felt he needed more than just a lake named after him, so ever since the ghost of Bryant has been haunting the lake. He will possess the nearby wildlife and even sometimes humans too, if anything unexplainable, or odd happens at Bryant Lake it's probably the evil spirit of Bryant that still lurks around this lake.

At Bryant Lake there is a triangle sectioned off where you are not supposed to go because everyone that goes in never comes out, it is nicknamed Death Triangle and is exactly where the ruins from the island Bryant destroyed is. Before the island was destroyed it was also nicknamed Death Island by many for the same reason, and Bryant definitely was not the first to try and take the gauntlet, dating back thousands of years. The beast that guards the gauntlet is called the Forcrow known for its 4 heads, and is from the Sacrow species. The monster still remains, forever trapped protecting the island even though it's been destroyed.

Bryant was born in 1800 and had two siblings Bob his twin brother, and Sob his younger sister. When he was young his parents and younger sister died from yellow fever in their house. His twin brother disappeared shortly after, presumed dead. Ten years later Bryant left in a quest for exploration, discovering the lake. Bob had died in the same lake 10 years ago too, in the Mariana Trench in vain like his brother. Both of their evil spirits haunt, possess others, and work together to scare the guests of the lake and cause mischief. Bob usually will take the bodies of kids and pretend to go to this rowing camp to do his evil schemes.

Bryant Lake is a dangerous place, and you should be scared.
