Dreamavera 2026

I am thrilled to announce that my painting, Genesis, has been selected for Dreamavera 2026, an international juried exhibition by Gallerium.

While this piece began as a study of cosmic creation, the theme of Dreamavera—which explores the intersection of dreams, memory, and the "art of becoming"—offers a beautiful new lens through which to view it. In this context, Genesis represents the inner landscape of a dream: that quiet, flickering moment where a thought begins to take form.

By suspended a fragile bug egg against a violent supernova, I wanted to capture the "Avera" of the work—a search for grace and truth within a state of transformation. It reflects the idea that our inner worlds and future imaginings are often born from a similar "explosion" of potential.

Technical Reflections

This piece remains a personal milestone for me as an Artist-Biologist. It was my first major experiment with oil paint on a handmade canvas, where I focused on:

  • Atmospheric Layering: Using watered-down layers to mimic the translucent, ethereal quality of a nebula.

  • Controlled Randomness: Flicking paint to create stars, balancing the intentionality of the egg with the spontaneity of the cosmos.
