Pattern of Diet Coke

My Pattern Sculpture: The goal of this sculpture was just to display a pattern using our objects. At first, I struggled to create/choose a pattern because there were just so many possibilities. I considered a checkerboard-type pattern, as well as a triangular pattern, however, I settled on this unique design incorporating mini Coke cans. I just love creating mini sculptures, so I had the idea to use the mini labels on the Coke cans to create three mini versions. I referenced the first Nifty-Niner I created by creating a kind of wave in the pattern. The pattern repeats this form: rainbow-like arches surrounding a door-shaped piece (both of which are bent to create a wave shape), on each one mini Coke can stands. These forms, in my opinion, nestle together to form a pattern that resembles a series of waves, or a tsunami. One thing I enjoyed and think I did well was creating the mini Coke cans. Mini things are so fun to create, and I think they turned out adorable and neat. And from a distance, they even kind of look like normal coke cans. One thing I think I could have done better was maybe repeating this pattern more. If I had more time, I could have continued the pattern which would have created a more complex design.
